The British Prime Minister delivers his speech on 23rd March 2020, with measures designed to slow the spread of Covid-19. Disruption to the British way of life is inevitable and persons, families and business all over the country will feel the effects.

In industry, while manufacturing still continues, a new and major challenge is the inability to find products that are an everyday but mandatory requirement. One of the most affected areas is PPE with products like face masks, specialist gloves and disposables being harder to find.

We Can See A Way Through this Crisis. It will be tough for a few months but we'll come out stronger and fitter. Its the biggest challenge the world has faced since the war, and one in which no country is exempt. A lot has been written, and the situation changes daily as the governments struggle to contain its spread.

It is regularly reported than many workplace injuries are totally avoidable and that the correct, and enforced use of PPE (personal protective equipment) would remedy the situation.  With over 39% of non-fatal injuries caused by cuts and lacerations to hands, there is little reason for an employer not to invest in cut-resistant gloves and cut-resistant clothing, or for the employee not to wear those provided.
